Missing
So, the saying is truer
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder”
When we’ve fallen as lovers
We can’t look aback as a loner
Time clocks would seem slower
Consider every beat by the hour
So precious you are
We long to be together
Distance had become longer
Communication gap must not be wider
The missing becomes wishing
And wishing becomes missing
What is there in loving
Certainly is your company
The intimacy which goes with ecstasy
That brought us assuring and trusting
Has been mutual, and all odds and dangers
Sometimes makes the circumstance graver
And the challenges regardless matters
No means to counter, rather remember
Missing has to be weathered
Lest it withers
But when finally with each other
The temperature’s higher!
