Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of an ordinary man going to heavenNo one ever said life and death would be easy, but those left behind have to work through their loss and grief to get to the other side of healing.

Missing

missing from our lives, but we know where he is sometimes the silence is a suffocating quilt. there'll be some news mentioned on tv then thinking he will want to know realization sets in like a cold iron on a winter's day I can't tell him, then hope maybe he knows anyway

May your Easter weekend be filled with love and enjoyment, Victor. I will go to my daughter's house for a few hours this Sunday. She usually has a meal, and the younger children go Easter egg hunting, but it could rain this Sunday. We'll hope for the best but always accept that God is in control. Sara K

This is outstanding, Sara. The way you show the loneliness not just say it. A fave for me

I'm honored, Andrea, that you would fave it. This is a very hard and difficult time adjusting to the situation, having to depend on my daughter, etc. I hope this is a great day for you and your family. Sara K

Sara, this poem has such depth, feeling, and emotionality. Grief is such a complex matter. All those heartfelt lines. You have my deepest sympathies in this regard, Howard

Why, thank you, Howard. Yes, death of a spouse is very difficult and life changing. Your sympathies are appreciated as are the nice comments. Sara K

Grief can hit you anytime Sara, and memories you have play on in your mind. They may be gone from this life but live on in your heart.. Hope your keeping well. Tom

Tom, I have been quite under the weather, and I did go to the doctor this morning. I have problems with allergies, and they had gone more towards the infection side, so I was prescribed antibiotics and a cough remedy. I know that this will get me over the hump towards wellness once again. Your comments are encouraging and comforting. Sara K
