Missed Chances

The chance not taken, you beg and scream of them to listen, and when they ask? Your tongue fails you. You know what you want but you spent so much time biting your tongue, you haven't one left to speak with. The chance not taken, takes you away from here.

yeah "the chance not taken takes you away from here" is my favorite line.. i can really relate to this.. so many chances not taken have really effected my life in my many ways -sKyLaR vAlLeS

very interesting poem, Madison. My own tongue's not in too good a shape either....however there seem to be always those times when I wish I HAD bitten it and didn't. I suppose judging when to and when not to comes in the form of wisdom. Thanks for sharing and for your comment. -Robert
