Notes About The Poem
This is a true story. The only thing that's fiction is her name.
Miss Matthews
I met her my first year of middle school.
My first impression was, she's too young.
The voice in my head was so confused,
she's a teen, how could she teach me?
Miss Matthews was my science teacher.
To my surprise I enjoyed her class a lot.
She taught me so much, I'll never forget,
how she welcomed me into her big heart.
The most valuable thing, this amazing lady
taught me was,that love really is color blind.
