Miss Lady
I don’t claim to know it all
But please let me catch you before you fall
The direction you’re headed I’ve seen before
This path leads to pain, suffering, and more
These are things you won’t soon forget
You’ll live a life full of regret
Close your mouth and open your ears
Listen, as I tell you a story of my greatest fears
She was foolishly naïve
Always had something up her sleeve
No goals and no one to please
No desires or dreams to achieve
Left school with no diploma nor degree
Followed the wrong crowd
Did many things not allowed
Attitude was dark as a stormy cloud
Does any of this make you proud?
She was used and abused along the way
Struggles with those demons still today
This story of my greatest fears
Is the path I once chose my dear
I shared with you to make it clear
This is now your future I see
You’re steering the same road as me
