Mismatched Socks

I have three pairs of patterned socks,
With colors and designs
That vary in each duo
Set on horizontal lines.

From triangles to hearts and dots
To checkerboards, as well
As numbers and some words,
But what they say I cannot tell.

Today I noticed, far too late,
My socks are not the same.
Of course, right from the dryer,
Matching pairs had been my aim.

Yet somehow I messed up
And now my outfit is complete
With mismatched socks, although they still
Feel cozy on my feet.

I actually bought a pair of odd socks once. They had writing on them, but when I opened them, one said ‘Left’ but the other said ‘Right’… typical! Enjoyed this very relatable tale, Ilene, particularly as I spent all day yesterday in an inside out T shirt. Terry

my son loves 'happy socks' and your socks sound like they are a similar brand, as for mis matched socks - its only you who noticed and it was a fashion trend so stay trendy Ilene! hugs jan xx
