Misery

Running from the world,
Hiding from reality.
Holding onto dreams,
Never wanting to wake up.

I cry for everything I've done,
All the misery I've caused.
All I did was cause pain,
All I did was make you cry.

I'm all alone now,
Drowning in pain and misery.
You were the most important person,
Yet all I did was hurt you.

Poetry is a great outlet to have. When thoughts are placed on paper it allows us to externalize and contemplate their true meaning. Writing also allows us to rewrite or story and grab hold of what is possible.
