Notes About The Poem

You know what you see when you hang your head in misery?                                                                                                The ground, whats in the ground, dirt and worms                                                                                                                   .Psalms 34:1-3 says:

"I will bless The Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.                                                                       My soul makes it's boast in The Lord. Let the afflicted hear and be glad.                                                                             Oh Magnify The Lord With Me And Let Us Exalt His Name Together."

I know that sometimes it's hard to praise The Lord when things seem to be too much for us but I have found when I try to do it anyway I do feel better. And God really does help those who try to help themselves..You will get ideas about what you can do to make things better . You may think that's just you but it's actually God talking to you. I'm pretty quiet and try to keep to myself but for some reason some folks like to make up things in their own tiny little minds and decide that's what I'm about. Even some people who know me well will sometimes misunderstand something I say because I am wont to use picturesque speech and have a bent sense of humor. I guess that's why I should watch my mouth because folks don't always understand. and some folks are just plain looking for a way to break up their own monotony by talking about their neighbor. But God will give you the strength to get through even that. Just think Oh Well, Like Most Blockages This Too Shall Pass.

MISERY

Misery loves company,
That's one thing for sure;
And counting curses as you moan,
Won't bring about a cure;

For thinking 'bout unhappiness,
And things that make you frown,
Aren't gonna help a single thing,
It only brings you down.

Don't sit and feed this sickness,
With worry and distress.
Don't sit and mull it over,
Thus causing self duress.

Your woes will seem so heavy,
That you can scarcely move,
And life won't seem worth living,
Your whole manner will exude,

A kind of awful bitterness,
That eats you up inside,
So count your blessings 'stead of curses,
Cultivate some pride,

In all that God has done for you,
And all the He will do,
And thank Him every day that dawns,
For all He's given you.

You'll find your heart feels lighter,
And you'll smile instead of frown,
If you'll turn your face toward The Son,
Stop staring at the ground.

Great poetic advice. I have missed your style of poetry around here. I am s little "bent" too and I imagine I have unwittingly hurt someone's feels here, but I sure don't mean to

Thank you so much Andrea. I know what you mean my friend. I get taken wrong so often it reminds me of the verse from Proverbs that says "In the multitude of words is confusion and every kind of evil." It reminds me to not be so ready with my words. God Bless, JB
