Misery

Misery needs company
It sees no need to change
Doesn't want to be happy
Only wants for you the same
The delusions of misery
Are overly insane
Just to keep them happy
You give access to your chain
They start jerking you around
Tinkering inside your brain
Telling you you’re flawed
The psychological strain
The heart fights the brain
Making excuses for the pain
The company of misery
Leaves you physically drained
The company of misery
A heartbreaking cloak
Acceptance of such misery
Will leave you dead and broken

Marks, wonderfully written, it is hard in this world to find happiness when we are surrounded by death, starvation, war and hate. We must somehow learn to rise above it and be the best we can be, Constance ~
