Mirrors lifeline

We're all young until we look in the mirror The lines on our faces longer, wiser To think to us we have so much time Our youth stolen by a lie, it feels like a crime, I'm only twenty-six, I'm only young, But to the youth we're much older to some, What has become of us, As holidays pass by, as fast as I blink another flies Your only young you have so much time, But when I look in the mirror, I don't shine, I don't glow, I don't smile, I only cry, I watch the mirror as my life flashes before my eyes, And then I'm older, creases under my eyes, Did I live a worthy life, Who is it to truly decide, Until my last breath, When I finally close my eyes, No more mirrors, No more life lines, Just darkness in a coffin, Hoping the living remembers my demise To love and live as we watch past time life isn't long it's just a saying, Just as much as this, Just looking in mirrors, watching everything drift by.

Ha! When I was 16 I thought 30 was old. Now I'm 62. Roger Daltrey once sang, "Hope I die before I get old....". Now he's old
