Mirrored Images
My heart breaks into tiny pieces,
Mirrored images of a different species.
Something that beheld my being,
Shadowed my eyes, not allowing the seeing.
Standing alone in the darkness, hours on end,
No stradegy of attack or defend.
Voices whispering tales of destructive defeat,
As puddles of blood gather at my feet.
No emotions, not love, fear, sadness or compassion,
Just images of an unemotional battle on a passin'.
A soulless shell that walks among others,
Getting close to your children, siblings and Mothers.
Always ready to strike wit-out rhyme or reason,
Changing skins as the world changes seasons.
Eyes starring into a dark empty nowhere,
Gazing upon lonliness, just a distant stare.
my heart breaks into tiny pieces,
Mirrored images of a different species.
