Mirror

The mirror is my quiet friend,
It doesn't laugh at me,
It sees the tears I try to hide,
And holds my gaze when pain won't slide.

It never says anything, yet understand,
Reflects the tremble in my hands.
Like rain that falls when alone,
It weeps with me in silent tone.

So when the world turns cold and blind,
I seek the glass that’s always kind.
It shows me scars, but not with shame
Just proof I’ve lived through every flame.

So let that flame shine bright. That consumes all your pain. That is your greatest gain.

Lovely poem with clean rhymes, Tebello. You’ve chosen a good object to personify. To use a mirror to self-reflect is useful. ThkU for sharing your poem. Keep writing and posting. Your talent will soon improve. Sending blessings to you & Mosotho from South Africa., Ghairo.

Thank you kindly, Ghairo. Your feedback encourages me more than you know. I’m still learning and growing as a writer, so hearing this from someone in South Africa means a lot to me. I’ll continue writing with heart and purpose. Blessings to you too ??????????
