Mirage

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Mirage
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: May/2014

You're
the
silhouette
in
my dreams -

I see
you
through
the darkness,

of
the mystic
night -

exotic,
hypnotic
and
elusive -

Yet
you appear
before
the light
of
each dawn -

 shadowing
my
thoughts,

with your
invisible
love -

You're
an
illusion -

The  closer
I get
to you,

the more
distant
you
become -

I thought
we
walked
together -

Now
I know,

You were
 just
a
mirage -

So
I'm left
standing,

in
the mystery
of
a dream -

Unveiling
my
heart -
to
a fantasy -

 you 're
not real -

you're
just a mirage -
