Mirage

Your smile is faithlessly sincere; A tyrant guilty of larceny ~ A thief invading my temple- Who masquerades as a friend; A chilling charlatan ~ Deceptions of the darkest sort ~ What pretense will you assume- Tomorrow ~ Perhaps that of Brutus to Caesar; The tarnish of your lips is indelibly- Imprinted on my skin; You delude so many ~ Others see not the sacrilege- That lurks within the heart's chambers; I must read the lyrics backwards, Vanity's mirror ~ inversion of truth; Underneath the lamb is the serpent; My fingers possess a bluish tinge; Your skin has begun to shed...again; An eternal vortex ~ the finale ~ Bartering of the soul, Diversions attempted to weaken the spirit ~ Envy ~ I wear my coat of armor daily. A tribute to Led Zeppelin, and their song...Friends.
