Miracle Spring

I always wait for a miracle spring, The thawing snow and ice and everything. Days again where the sidewalks are clean, Going for walks and staying lean. The sound of the birds chirping again, I haven't heard them since I don't know when. The sunshine cheery and bright, You know the day will be alright. The warm wind and breeze on my shoulder, I know that I am somewhat older. Relatives and friends that come now and then, What a miraculous surprise, you know that when they arrive. Many miracles and I am truly thankful, Blessings so kind and divine. Thanks be to God our Lord and master, I hope the days and nights will slow down and not go faster. I do not know why you chose not to have your sixth and seventh couplets rhyme. Nevertheless, I find this an impressive write.
