Miracle In the Night

I gazed up at the glimmering stars, on this moon lit night You can see forever, as there are no clouds in sight My mind is transported back to that magical day That day, I met the woman that transformed my way She opened the portal to a magnificent new place I dared to put a foot forward, it forever changed my pace She softly took my hand, and guided me through She turned, whispered in my ear, “I have been waiting for you” She encouraged me to follow this glorious new path She counseled me to resist the urge to look back This new path is not without its obstacles and trials But it is a path I need to have knowledge of As I looked down the path, all I could see was a radiant light It was more brilliant than the day, and more darkened than the night She spoke to me in a voice so heavenly, “That is your destination. It is in your control from here” As she released my hand, she faded away I heard a commanding voice from afar instruct me “Remember these things you have witnessed tonight Venture into the world, spread the light”
