Miracle Cat
The miracle was only temporary.
For a while, we would embrace the miracle-
And you.
For a while, we would dismiss your inexplicable twitches.
Until they became monstrous spasms.
Until we realize that you are past due.
The miracle was only meant to be temporary.
Yet- it feels like those moments you thrived still paw at our hearts.
But don’t feel like these last moments are of you failing.
It is just the end of a miracle.
