Minutes Later

Minutes Later

Days, he made me
wait for his kiss.

It took years for him
 to buy me diamonds.

Decades, it took him to
sleep in my bed, with his
parents in the next room.

Knots formed in my stomach the
second I decided to leave him,
but minutes later I was just fine.
