Minor Victories

from behind a window that leads to my balcony I observe the sunbird retire to its beautiful and cozy nest a gentle, elixirous breeze seductive and enchanting beseeches that I step outside to admire a lustrous full moon it’s a temptation I decline for how can I be so callous to cause a tremor in the heart of my guest who’s about to sleep such are the minor victories of ethereal spirit over instinct for which we may take no credit as we follow diktats of the universe 23-March-2023
