Minor Keys
Six strings and a pair of wings
is that too much to ask?
What could ever be more fair
in a world that draws us close
but seldom cares
down, down the dark light
How you doing? Fine
How you feeling? and Fine
Still working? and finer still
How are you making out? Yes, I'm doing well
Where have you been? Here
Why were you hiding? I've been right here
I've been looking I've been beside you all along
everywhere for you and I thought you knew
Eight bars and a snappy little break
That must be what it takes
Figure it out on the first guitar
Get it right but never tell
Say it out loud, spit right out
and shoot it all to hell
down, the dark light, down
