Minni and Her Queen
Minni is five
she is peppery
uncle tell me a story of queens
hey I know only kings not queens
not even princes or princesses
they come after kings
so kings?
no queens.
kings?
queens.
she stomps her little feet
I give her queen candy
queen books
queen pix
queen game
I want real queens
she proclaims
real queens?
hey, there are no queens in India
all queens are now housewives
I want housewives then
so I marry a girl
and get her a queen
Queen loves her
Queen gives her milk
Queen gives her love
Minni is happy
she is five
she is fifteen
she is twenty five
she is all
my adopted child
