Ministry
Time has flown by,
those years I’ve spent in the parish;
a treasure-trove of mem’ries
awash with meanings and satisfactions.
Ministry came out as a priority
nourished and developed; a constant effort.
with friends around, prayers to say;
God, indeed, is so good.
How my ministry has grown
with the evolving deal of immersion
with people that I walk with
or with my prayers every day;
a journey, indeed, a continuing struggle.
But life has been kind to me
notwithstanding my disappointments somewhere;
it’s with optimism to keep going,
to have a positive outlook and determination.
Ministry is vital, a coherent rationale
for the clergy, religious or lay workers;
a great commitment, a sublime calling,
mindful of their people, generous to their actions.
