Mind's Not a Friend

Is it a cage closing in around me?
Am I enraged or am I lonely?
Do I love you or do you loathe me?
Flies low the slow plane who drones into those teeth

She’s gone
again
He fails
Many
tales
to be
said
of his
ailments
when he
read
too much
into
ev-
-erything
that she
said
that she
did
that he
ne-
-ver ex-
-haled
so she’s
gone
again
He makes
a friend
of his
coffin
again

Mind’s not his friend;
well mine isn’t either
He’s just lost it again;
please mind not his fever
