Mindful of Struggle
Mindful of struggle
between heav’n and hell,
do not wrap thyself in immorality.
each day’s a choice
to don a belt,
a breastplate, shoes, a helmet,
hold up a Roman-sized shield,
and wield a two-edged sword.
Yes, don the armor of God.
Don’t forget to bend your knees,
to pray, praise and give thanks.
For there’s a father wanting to treat
his child to an all-encompassing eternity -
it’s wild; the Creator’s imagination.
It’s where all struggle strangulates,
death and hell disappear from sight.
It’s life, baby, it’s life!
