"Contagion III", 2020, orginal pen and ink and oil
A mind virus is worse than any physical virus Because a physical one, requires physical contact. The mind virus just needs mental contact, What you read and watch, hear and think. In the blink of an eye It can jump across the ocean. Although usually it just jumps across the room From your teachers or peers, TV or news. But like a physical virus You can usually outgrow it. If it doesn’t kill you Or leave you disfigured. As you mature, change your teachers, peers And the news you consume. A mind virus need not be fatal. If you survive it, it may even make you stronger. And if you don’t, well You may win a Darwin Award in consolation. (10/9/26)
