Mind Over Matter, Maybe Not

When your bones ache, nerves are frayed
There are some tricks that can be played
Sit quietly in your nice warm chair
Close your eyes, take your mind back where…
You were running
With legs so strong
You were jumping
Could do no wrong
Climbing in trees
Singing a song
Skinning your knees
Playing all day long…
Your mind is now inspiring you
To realize what you can do!
The child in you says “Let’s go play”
OOPS! You fell down, now here you lay!

Made me smile Betty - a few years ago my hubby and I went to a children's play area where we used to take out son when he was younger. It was so wonderful for us to play on the swings and slides and a water powered roundabout - brought back such memories. As for aching bones ... I now have moderate osteoarthritis it can be quite painful some days but i keep active :-( hugs jan xx

Thanks Jan. Glad you still can play again, just glad you didn't fall down. At my age I could probably handle the swings, but if I went down the slide I would have to call the paramedics to get me up again. Lol! Always appreciate your kind comments. Betty
