Mind over body

I have the body of a pensioner
with the mind of a teenager
I don't Deny my age I Defy it.

Sister Beryl, I love your sense of humour, there's plenty of life left in you, stop thinking like a pensioner, it does no good.

John, a great poem and an even greater philosophy. If I had to say what defines youth, it might be the ability and desire to explore, learn, and change as a result. Really good of you to share this one. Take care, sir!

You have the right Perspective John. I hope to get in better shape this winter. At one point in my life I played professional soccer. I miss those days of having full energy and running all day. My goal is to have more energy and endurance and can loose a few pounds. This was encouraging to read John. Blessings my friend.

Dear John, I always feel like age is just a number and that we are what we feel and believe from deep within, and i still feel 21, hah. And i think we should always feel young, stay young, always a pleasure reading your poems. Sending you light always.

I love poet Paula Goldsmith's comment and your reply to the same more than the poem itself! you just gave us new definition for 'wise man' - 'body of a teenager with mind of a pensioner' Kudos dear poet. interesting write. cheers
