Mind Is Sold

[i knew you'd say that]
i knew eventually your skin would slide away & i'd be
forced to look at your naked soul-
forced to pretend i like it
cuz it's too late to find something
better. your words are no longer legible
no longer capable of going under any certain language, they
move like liquid around the meaning, softening the solid truth,
making it easier to take
& hold. time is passing, has been
passing, but now i'm getting old.
my mind is sold to an accidental idea that
                  shouldn't have been pondered,
but that even now i
dwell upon. today is past tense as is We as is the
                                emotion that binds us.
i'm a clumsy person & the task of keeping track
of something with such importance is absurd, so
as anticipated, at the very mention,
                                                         i forget.
life is not supposed to be so explained, we're mistaken in
thinking we've progressed in taming it, & it's obvious that
nature is offended at our actions. (we are far from superior)
        domestication is not
GIVE IN I AM BOSS---- is not good at all.
to love, to forget the common reaction to so-called faults &
appreciate any contradiction
                                             against perfection.
