Mind Goes On Vacation

MIND GOES ON VACATION
My mind likes to go on vacation but where it goes is anyone’s guess. It will just take off without notice leaves me and my head…an empty mess. Its so irresponsible, my mind to get up and go somewhere and hide. As if not bad enough to leave town leaves me feeling…been hit broadside. Mind wants to escape each days struggles understand, why wants to run and hide. But it’s companion my beating heart has Bible as it’s…trustworthy guide. Our heart’s the seat of motivation influences our passions and desire. It implants within me grains of hope the’ two of them’ still…my life inspire. My mind’s brilliant and intelligent when in the moment decides to stay. But oh… things and people I forget when suddenly turns…and walks away. The embarrassing predicaments when suddenly leaves and goes some where. Silly and stupid mistake’s I make always apologizing…here and there. Honestly, my mind isn’t that bad like body, a little out of shape. Recent diagnosis of P.A.H. lack of oxygen causes… mistakes. Barbara Barry- Nishanian July 17, 2018 copyright All rights reserved

I have enjoyed reading, Barbara, reminds me of how my brain wanders a lot, besides losing thought of what I should have done and didn't. Nice well written-verse. Hugs Eve P.S. Have a really nice blessed day.

interesting battles we have with our minds as though separate and apart and yet if we weren't separate and apart, how could we have battles...how could it run and hide...my first thought after reading your very interesting poem dear poet

Bob to have a talented writer show appreciation for 'my style' writing...WOW! I like to try and be realistic and funny about aging and illness. Thank you for visiting.
