Mind Games

Mind games

The rain is steady dancing
off my window pane
I know the rain is not
the reason so I will not
place blame
So many thoughts running
through my tired head
I knew I would not sleep
when I went off to bed
Life has a sneaky way of
making things go off
the path
Even at times you can
experience its very fierce
wrath
The sandman won the
battle between he and
my mind
That's why they call him
"One of a kind."
I remember the exact
time I must have closed
my eyes
To awaken and see the
time hadn't changed
much but I was not at
all surprised
I have to win this struggle
between myself and I
I'm definitely a bit weary that
I cannot deny
A heartfelt prayer has been
said to GOD above
I can now feel my mind
slowing down as he
showers me with love
