Often we walk amongst millions of others and think about what's going on in their life, and maybe how life would be fun being part of their life. This poem is a walk on a beach thinking about all the people.
A million waving friends brush my skin, caress my ankles, warm my spirit,
And I walk alone.
Friends sit in a circle, laugh as one, share a joint, give me free smiles,
And I’m happy alone.
Friends lay on a roof, a small beach shack, glow with a beer, coloured stripes,
And I renovate alone.
Friends run and pant, chase, wrestle, roll, play on the sand then hunt for a stick,
And I enjoy alone.
A distant sun sinks from blue sky to blue water, kissing a million waving friends,
And I feel alone.
