Millionaire Salaries and Perks

Nobody from my hey-day
  good enough to play
    in today's NBA
That's what they all say

I say that's because now it's 'all work'
  a 'day-at-the-office' mentality, like a clerk
but with multi-millionaire salaries and perks
based on individual stats, instead of unselfish teamwork

Time to pay a small fortune to see
  a Chicago Bulls victory
    Five tall, newly wealthy men
      Running around a court
in $10,000 shirts shoes and shorts

I have to say that I too am a bit shocked by the inequality in the pay range between people who service and help people and the zillionaires who entertain. Well penned!

Yes, indeed. And remember that $6.5 million is just the average salary. There are lots of players making over $15 million a year to bounce a round ball. It wasn't always so though, as now you know... Same thing in baseball, although there I think the average is more like $9 million a year; there again, it wasn't always so... ~ gw
