Miles Apart

Your smooth skin mingles with mine. We're laying together, yet we're miles apart on the inside. I'm getting high and you're passed out. The beer you consumed has consumed you. The joint I'm smoking pierces the blackness, it's glow lights us up. As I look at you through the darkness, I wonder, in your moment of doubt you wanted me to save you, did my words fail you ? Now two worlds collide, mine and yours ! I curse that night, instead of making love, we walked away to be miles apart on the outside.
