Migratory Birds, to the Kingdom
After a six-month battle with the disease and ten hours of major surgery, I have just died.
I died... while my wife wept and my son and daughter-in-law sank into their beds.
I slipped out of my body, turned into a butterfly, and flew out of the open window.
I flew out through the open window. 75 years of my life, so long or so short
It was a long life, or a short life, but it was a fulfilling life in its own way.
There were things I wanted to do. No, not things I didn't want to do while I was alive.
No, it was something I wanted to do only after I was dead.
From a butterfly to a migratory bird, I will continue to fly
Across oceans, through cities, meadows, mountains, and deserts.
I'm going to reach that kingdom I've longed for since I was a young man.
I'm not aiming for heaven. I'm aiming for the kingdom that actually exists.
I've flown through stinging sun, rain, and blizzards to finally reach it.
A rich and happy kingdom of oil-producing, turbaned people!
City sightseeing in moderation, I made my way to the palace of the kingdom.
In the vast courtyard facing the main palace, there was a huge crowd of people waiting in line.
I thought they were people from all over the world who had come to see the king and queen.
But no, they were dead people just like me.
I could tell, because all dead people have dilated pupils.
Why were these dead people gathering in the courtyard of the palace?
It's very simple.
When we're born again, we all want to be great kings of rich and happy countries, don't we?
Of course you don't want to be a beggar, that's extreme.
So, yes, you have to enter the womb of the queen, or the concubine, or the concubine's wife.
That's why the palace is filled with dead people...
I turn into a skalengeck and crawl across the floor to get to the head of the line.
One of the dead grabbed me by the tail, swung me around, and threw me into the air!
I was too naive. I was disappointed.
The queen and her concubines could never have so many children!
My dreams are crushed and I'm discouraged What'll I do now? I'll turn
I'll turn and rise again for another kingdom.
What a chance we still have!
