Migrating

In early spring’s afterglow
Egrets head north as winds row; 
Dwelling  on lattice of plains
And coo    warble mild refrains--
How migrant journey  stirs on
When  April wakes with delight
Until lull of morn is done--
A homecoming …  our birds' rite !
