Mid-Summer's Dream

Shall I take a moment
To compare you to a Mid-Summer's Dream?
No, I shall not,
For you are the ever-living dream that resides within me.
The star that shines with glee when the sun turns black,
The fire that jump-starts the heart when there's nary a spark.
And for all the days I've counted
And marked into stone,
You are the force that drives me home.
You are.
