Midnight Serenade
You are plucking your guitar
in the silence of the night;
And as I flip curtains
from my windowpane,
I caught your silhouette
dancing with the melody
of your husky voice.
With the same old song
that's in my heart
I begin to sing
in unison with you
and the orchestrating cicadas
behind us.
Infinite colours~
of cosmic sounds and sights
midst the sparkle
of the starlit sky hail~
as my silhouette joins yours
to sing and dance
forgotten rhapsody of love.
