Midnight Discovery
Upon a midnight of lone decent
The death of my love I long repent
An eminent maiden from days of yore
I evermore grieve in absent adore
My rest is halted by commotion
Of which I have the least of notion
Unbarring the door I stride to explore
This occult ruction of which I deplore
Afront my stable I spot a maid
Upon her dismount atop her jade
(The Maid)"Might thee spare a night's bed, for I'm weary
And allay me from this late-night dreary?"(The Maid)
(Myself)"Enter fair lass, thus procure thee heat
I'll fain fulfill that which thou entreat
Of your arrival my only query
Why do thee trek on a night so leery?"(Myself)
(The Maid)"My dwelling vanished amidst fire
And my family it did mire
Rendered destitute, In dolor I fled
To an unmapped journey of ceaseless dread."(The Maid)
(Myself)"Alas, dear maiden our fates' entwine
Our families rest in lea's divine
In supernal fortune, to me you're led
I beseech thee to rest upon my bed."(Myself)
(The Maid)"Our grief shall end by love's devotion
In ageless days of still emotion
When dawn arises upon the night's gloom
I'll amble the aisle with you as my groom."(The Maid)
(Myself)"Yes dear maiden we'll wed the morrow
Thus evermore shall cease our sorrow
In ample adore forever abloom
I grasp thee in vow unto our world's doom."(Myself)
