MIDNIGHT BUTTERFLY
Your spirit soars like a butterfly
as we journey through paradise,
your beauty captivates
your mind meditates
A cherished angel with a golden heart
your wings spread wide apart
with the warmth of a dove
your heart shows pure love
In distant times with brighter skies
we sang the songs that soothed the stars
so sweet, kind, gentle, loving and caring
with a serene personality, so glaring
On calmer nights with cooler moons
we dance on dunes of diamond jewels
the sun sparkles off the waves
like a thousand diamonds set a fire
Crushed blue velvet skies fading into ebony
I stand in the warmth of your gentle embrace
the wish I made is to always be with you.
