Midnight

¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ the hour ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦
The nightingale's ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ is heard;
¦¦¦ is the hour -- ¦¦¦¦ lover's vows
¦¦¦¦ sweet in every ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ word;
And gentle winds ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦ music to the ¦¦¦¦¦¦ ear.
¦¦¦¦ flower ¦¦¦ dews ¦¦¦¦ lightly wet,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ sky ¦¦¦ stars are met,
¦¦¦ on the wave ¦¦¦ deeper blue,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ in the Heaven ¦¦¦¦ clear ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦ softly dark, and ¦¦¦¦¦¦ pure,
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦
As twilight melts beneath the moon ¦¦¦¦¦

This is only my 2nd contact with Blackout Poetry, Tania, and I must admit that I am tempted to learn more about it, and perhaps have a go at it. Your poem makes sense, and "midnight" is projected through delightful imagery. ~ Regards // paul
