Middle Aged

I’m not going easy I withhold my compliance Kick and scream in vanity Going down in my finest I simply won’t accept Mother nature’s advances My youth will be kept I’m taking my chances I watch the others obey The inevitable gravitation They seem to be okay To give up and give in But not me, not this time I rebuke the very process Though others transition fine I’m fighting back, in protest Makeup can conceal These lines across my face Or perhaps they’ll self heal I will not be middle aged

I wrote a poem entitled Next Time, i think you would like the first stanza. It has to do with aging.

Judging by your photo (which always makes me feel joyful) your efforts have been extremely successful.
