A MIDDAY NIGHTMARE
Gates opened at our home, drove in, before we could touch the remote,
Guns at our heads, masked men shouting, hammer’s back, itchy fingers,
We will kill you, give us jewelry, money, all you’ve got, or these triggers
Will go off, nightmare in our garden, they left, we lived, so this I wrote!
