Mid-Autumn

Hot summer moves away
As autumn moods fills air;
The windy chill now plays
Spreading a swift affair.

The harvest was happy
With gifts from this good earth;
We rejoice and party
And await new rebirth.

We celebrate our joy
As the seasons bring change;
Content for warm employ
Our gratitude floods range.

Soon we will bake moon cakes,
Feast with tea and frolic;
Surround good sense to take
Calm feelings most mystic.

Such is our fond feelings
When autumn brings healing;
We rest now most willing
To thoughts most revealing.
