The simplicity of simply being a butterfly Maureen. When as a kid living in Hawaii, monarch butterflies were truly treated like royalty; and close to being considered illegal to kill one. It was encouraged to preserve them. My brother and I nurtured so many caterpillar to butterfly births, and each one always amazed me. A wonderful poem Maureen. Thank you.

The Northern Sun catalog has a wonderful t-shirt with a caterpillar forming a question mark, asking, " Do You Have Milk". Check their catalog out, and no I don't work for them lol.

Maureen, I tried to write basically as if writing for a contest. I wrote a bunch of Italian named plants, but no one is reading them, but with this poem of yours I am going to do a poem about milkweed. Thanks Maureen.

When I visited Saint Martin there was a butterfly farm. Walking into each room was a wonderment. Certain species of butterflies in their habitate. You could sit on a bench and just watch them flying around; sometimes landing on me. Truly a great feeling. I'm happy to read that you're one of the sources for the two generations migration Maureen.

They are absolute royalty for me. Lovely story! I am so excited. My two other caterpillars have now climbed up to assume the position. My milkweed garden at last producing fruit. (thank you to my landlord for letting me wild his land) ;), and thank you! xomo
