Metamorphosis

I’ve been on an amazing journey 
It has been one incredible ride

My world has completely changed 
I no longer see it as black and white 

I see all the vibrant colors in between
I used to be blind and narrow minded

I embraced what I was afraid of
I welcomed and embraced the unknown 

It was though I went through a rebirth
Some may say it was a metamorphosis 

You know what?  I think it was that
I will stay on this journey of POETRY
