Metamorphosis

Puffy little green caterpillar
Walking along a leafy branch
On her way to make a home
Beneath a leaf she will rest.

Spinning a cocoon made of silk
Encased as she begins to change
In time she will be transformed
Into a magnificent butterfly.

Others traveled this same path
From one generation to another
Each flying away to start again
Nature’s form of reincarnation.
