Messiah Limericks
The composer, George Fridiric Handel,
wrote at night by the light of a candle,
and there's nothing more finer
than to hear his Messiah:
a work so profound and substantial.
A young bass was said to record
a version of Thus Saith the Lord.
Though the work was demanding,
he was simply outstanding.
Even Handel would have been floored!
For a successful run of Messiah
a good orchestra one will require.
But really my dears
it's been known for years
the real star of the show is the choir!
