Messenger of Misery

The messenger of misery has come to lay his hands on my heart
To torment and inflict pain and sadness as he tears my soul apart
I am defeated today Like I have never been
And my soul feels like it has committed a thousand sins
My emotions stray and my heart is shattered
And what I thought important doesn't matter
My world is flipped turned upside down
And though I try I keep losing ground
Nightmares inspire fear and darkness overshadows me
I am surrounded by demons tormenting me and no one else can see
Oh yes its true I hear voices too and as crazy as that may sound
They're smarter now much more subtle and you'll never know when they're around

Insistent, ever oncoming, John. Well done.
