Excellent job! Man, making out the messages strains my eyes, I wish we had font size choices up in this place! Very clever, Jan. I came to congratulate you thinking I'd already commented on your entry - and I was wrong for the first time all year. (you believe me?) Love, CayCay

Thanks Caycay I am sure there is a bug as often I know I've commented but the comments have disappeared - a mystery like the titanic sinking:-) hugs Jan xx

Congratulations on your lovely win, Jan. I like both the theme you chose and the message within. The Titanic went under, but your poem flew high!! Unfortunately my entry was dragged under by the sinking Titanic:) Hugs // paul

Oh, I would Jan! My daughter and I went to the Titanic exhibit that was traveling around. How surreal it was for me to touch the ship I had heard about forever! They were selling titanic coal in necklaces, and I told my daughter there is no way, since I take so many cruises. I don't want the ocean calling me home! LOL

Thanks so much Kim I am absolutely delighted to place so well- we saw a documentary recently and it said that there had been a fire in one of the coal bunkers which caused the bulkheads to buckle and not be watertight:-( If you ever get to Belfast do visit the Titanic exhibition its absolutely fascinating!:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Pandita I hope Kim likes it. I enter fewer and fewer contests - if my muse isn't on form then I simply can't force a poem and there are some I wouldn't enter for various reasons:-) hugs jan xx

Completely forgot about this tragic accident. For me, apart from the loss of innocent lives, it tells me that few things man puts his hand and brains to are flawless. A new theory is out that not one but possible two icebergs caused the luxury ships sinking. As for Mr. Trump, he's like a lunatic who's escape from an asylum and gone mad with his new found freedom. Let's hold on to our seats! Thanks Jan. / M

We saw a documentary recently that explained there was a fire in one coal bunker and this caused the bulkheads to buckle so the seals were not watertight - fascinating to see new theories coming out even after all these years. As for trump heaven help us all:-( hugs jan xx

GREAT job, Jan. I like how you do the regular part very calm, and with the calamity part hidden in the text. I have an idea but it's nothing like the way everyone else is doing these, so I hope she will like it. Gotta at least try it. Maybe I won't pull it off.
