Message In a Bottle- Blank - Robb Kopp

Covered with sand and barnacles too
A plastic bottle turning blue
found a treasure in my hand
I cleaned layers of sand
Inside a note hid
unscrewed the lid
out it slid
heart sank
blank

Bravo!!!!! Well-deserved first place! Now, let's talk about this blank message in the bottle....what kind of a cruel joke was that? Comparable to a million dollar lottery ticket with an expiration date, huh?! Loved your poem. Great ending! Gwendolen

congratulations on your first place win in the contest, this venture would be a great disappointment to say the least,it would also be a great joke to play on someone maybe even in a different way,,imagine if within the pyramids or even ancient jars there would be a parchment with no words at all,,, could you imagine the expressions on all the archeologists faces,,and I want to thank you for all your words that you have left behind after reading mine,,Blessings..Cecil
